Monitoring Herzmedizin

Department of Cardiology

Very experienced in cardiology, pneumology and intensive medicine

The department of cardiology primarily treats patients with all kinds of heart diseases and is responsible for intensive care medicine and general internal diseases. Diseases of these organ systems account for more than 50% of all diseases and deaths in Germany. The most common types are myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, pulmonary diseases and strokes.

These diseases are often acutely life-threatening and require a large amount of technological equipment for diagnostic work-up and treatment. For this reason, the department has a team of very experienced consultants in cardiology, pneumology and intensive medicine working around the clock. It cooperates very closely with the Department for Heart Surgery at the University Hospital Frankfurt / Main and all the other local institutions at the Sana Klinikum Offenbach.
