Trauma
The department is acknowledged as a “level one trauma center” of the region and treat more than 2500 trauma and elective patients a year surgically. The trauma division, in which the stuff faces all possible fractures and instabilities of the spine, pelvis and extremities, is one of the leading sites in the region. They also treat any fractures in pediatric cases and of course in elderly too. Especially the spinal surgery is highly developed and realized by a specialized team in cooperation with the department of neurosurgery within the Hospital.
Joint Replacement
In the division for elective surgery, the department serves total hip and knee with the best implants and soft tissue preserving techniques. Here by it offers the patient previous to a surgical intervention a high-level diagnostic algorithm, which is crucial to decide which kind of treatment is the best for the individual patient.
All interventions are planned by computer aided planning. Fast recovery is a very important issue, which it implements to their processes. The head of this division is Mr. Patrick Mouret, MD who is one of the most experienced orthopedic surgeon in Germany.
Sportstrauma
In the division for sports trauma the department serves highly developed minimal invasive arthroscopic surgery for the shoulder, elbow, the hip, the knee, and the ankle.
Reconstructive Surgery
In the division for reconstructive surgery it faces septcal or deformity surgery of the extremities the spine and the pelvis. The close consultation of specialists of microbiology is crucial to succeed. The stuff treats their patients with “Ilizarov external fixator”, “Masquelet technique” and are supported by a special team of the plastic surgery under Prof. Henrik Menke.
The patient safety and the best quality is their most expensive goal to realize the best possible results for their patients. Within the Sana Klinikum, here in Offenbach, they are able to treat sever multi morbidity due to their wide range of clinical departments.
